Meshy for Omniverse
Send AI-generated 3D models directly into NVIDIA Omniverse or Isaac Sim with the Meshy Omniverse Bridge.
Overview
Meshy Omniverse Bridge connects your Meshy workspace to an active Omniverse or Isaac Sim stage. It imports generated assets into OpenUSD workflows and can apply Sim-Ready body type, collision, physics material, height, semantic class, and optional Wikidata QCode settings during transfer.
Quick Facts
Features
Bridge to Omniverse / Isaac Sim
Send completed Meshy models directly to an active Omniverse or Isaac Sim stage via the local bridge extension.
- Sends model URL, file format, and display name from Meshy to Omniverse
- Extension downloads the asset and converts or references it in USD when needed
- Imports the model under /World/model-slug in the active USD stage
- Supports Meshy model types, including animated models supported by the current bridge flow
Sim-Ready Physics Settings
Configure simulation behavior before import for Isaac Sim and physics-driven OpenUSD workflows.
- Choose dynamic, kinematic, or static body type
- Select collision approximation such as convex hull, convex decomposition, bounding cube, or bounding sphere
- Use Auto, Mass, or Density mass modes
- Apply physics material values for static friction, dynamic friction, and restitution
Semantic OpenUSD Import
Bring Meshy assets into USD stages with optional semantic metadata and scale controls for simulation workflows.
- Write semantic class labels and optional Wikidata QCode metadata
- Set an optional real-world height override during import
- Apply UsdPhysics collision and rigid-body APIs to imported assets
- Keep the imported asset referenced inside the current USD stage
How to install & use Meshy Omniverse Bridge
- 1Download the Meshy Omniverse Bridge ZIP package.
- 2In Isaac Sim or your Omniverse Kit app, open Window > Extensions, choose Import Extension, then select the downloaded ZIP package.
- 3Search for Meshy Bridge in the Extension Manager, enable it, and turn on Autoload if you want it to start automatically.
- 4Open or create a USD stage, then choose Send to OV/Isaac from the DCC Bridge menu in Meshy.
Requirements
- Windows for the current Meshy webapp bridge flow
- Isaac Sim or an Omniverse Kit app running locally
- An active USD stage before sending a model
- Meshy Bridge extension enabled and listening on 127.0.0.1:5331
- Meshy Pro account or above for DCC Bridge transfer
Frequently Asked Questions
The bridge extension is free to download. Sending models through the DCC Bridge requires a Meshy Pro account or above.
The current documentation is tested with Isaac Sim 6.0.0. We recommend keeping Isaac Sim or your Omniverse Kit app updated for best compatibility.
Confirm Isaac Sim or your Kit app is running, Meshy Bridge is enabled, no other process is using port 5331, and an active USD stage is open.
You can send body type, collision approximation, mass or density mode, physics material values, optional height, semantic class, and optional Wikidata QCode.
Send to OV/Isaac supports Meshy model types including animated models, but Smart Rig animated models are currently blocked in the webapp and should be downloaded and imported manually.
The current Meshy webapp Send to OV/Isaac flow is available on Windows only.
