Frequently Asked Questions

Meshy supports all major 3D software and creative tools — including Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, Maya, Godot, Roblox Studio, and popular 3D printing slicers like Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer. If there's a tool you'd like us to support, feel free to contact us to request a new integration.

You can download plugins from the Resources section in the top navigation of our website, then install them manually in your DCC tool. Each plugin has a detailed installation guide in our documentation — visit the documentation link on each integration card for step-by-step instructions.

All Meshy plugins are free to download. The DCC Bridge feature for sending models requires a Meshy Pro account or above.

Absolutely! If there's a 3D tool or platform you'd like Meshy to integrate with, contact us to submit your request. We're constantly expanding our ecosystem based on user feedback.

Most plugins work directly from the Meshy web app — just log in and send models with one click. The Blender plugin requires a Meshy API key for its Bridge feature.

Install the Meshy MCP Server by running 'claude mcp add meshy -- npx -y @meshy-ai/meshy-mcp-server -e MESHY_API_KEY=YOUR_KEY' in your terminal. Once installed, you can ask Claude to generate 3D models using natural language — no coding required.

The Meshy AI agent can handle the full 3D creation pipeline through natural language — from generating models based on text or image prompts, to applying AI textures, sending assets to slicer software, and even iterating on designs across multiple rounds. It's like having a 3D artist on your team that works at the speed of conversation.

Yes, the Meshy MCP Server requires a Meshy API key to authenticate requests. You can get your API key from the Meshy dashboard under Settings → API Keys. The key is set as an environment variable when you install the MCP server.
