Manual splitting means defining cut planes, capping open surfaces, checking for non-manifold geometry, re-exporting, and arranging parts in a slicer, which often takes 30 to 60 minutes. Auto Split runs cut, cap, and arrangement in one operation of about 40 seconds, and checks that the parts fit back together.

Yes. Splitting by color zone means each part prints in a single filament, which removes the color transitions that create purge waste on AMS printers like the Bambu Lab X1C. Assemble the parts after printing.

One click exports a print ready 3MF to Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, and ElegooSlicer, with part arrangement included. For other slicers, export the 3MF and import it manually.

3MF stores multi part arrangement, color assignments, and print settings in a single file, which STL cannot. For split models on multi material printers, 3MF is the standard across Bambu Lab, Prusa, and modern FDM platforms. See our 3D print file guide.

The current release places cuts automatically along the model's structure. Direct, language based control over the split, such as "separate the arms" or "four parts for a 256 mm plate," is in development.

Auto Split currently supports untextured draft models and is optimized for multicolor figures, oversized models, and articulated designs. Textured model support is in development.
